When did you start your photography?
I bought my first camera in 1986.
When I still lived at home, I was usually the family photographer.
Is photography your hobby or your profession?
Photography is my hobby, but a very passionate one.
Tell us about the image you entered in the contest. What’s the story behind it?
Every week I search the internet for new photo contests and that’s how I came across this one.
The picture I submitted shows the acrobatic gymnast, Lieke, performing during a photo shoot at the modern train station in Liège, Belgium.
Who and/or what inspires you most?
People inspire me most, in all aspects – sports, travel, modeling. They are the main theme of my work.
What’s your photographic focus?
Action during a photo session is important to me and the satisfaction that comes with capturing that perfect image at just the right moment is always exciting.
What’s your next photo project, your next challenge?
I don’t really have a set goal – I just enjoy the challenge of finding my next shot and having that be one that another photographer might not have taken.
Do you include color management in your photographic workflow?
Besides the overall visual composition, every element of the image, including color, is also important. Beautiful colors make your photos more interesting.
What do you do with your photos? Do you print them, post them on your social media accounts or your website or do they simply stay on your hard drive?
I participate in many photo contests and always create a big photo book from the travel photos I take.
What’s your photographic goal? What do you dream of?
I don’t really have a specific photographic goal. I simply enjoy what I’m doing and want to keep taking pictures.
